Kath Cariad

When my deeds are sung in the hall of heroes
When Anubis weighs my heart
When the Angels gather to tell the story of my life
To sit on the sofa with the photo album
Watch the home movies, and eat lemon drizzle cake

Then one will say to another

Look there, that’s where she touched him
See what a difference she made
The dance, the poetry
He was richer for knowing her
We were all richer

And your name will be remembered

  1. This poem was inspired by a real person, which is why it has her name on it… and she’s not the only one; other people have touched me too, and their names will also be remembered… you might even be one of them. So maybe this is about you?

Your thoughts are welcome.
